Serena Clayton

Serena Clayton has been a non-profit leader in public health for 30 years. Her work includes three founding executive director positions at the California Adolescent Health Collaborative, the California School-Based Health Alliance, and California Bridge which expands access to medical treatment for addiction. She has also held numerous interim leadership and consulting roles in public health and education. In the 1980s she studied abroad in Togo and worked as a teacher in Haiti. These experiences led to a lifelong engagement in global health and education, including the founding of Treatment Not Chains in 2016. Serena is fluent in French and Haitian Creole, and has a PhD in Public Health from UCLA.
